I was first introduced to personal development/self-help after I got out of the Army and got a job as a telephone salesman selling tools. I was shy of even talking to people on the phone with all the experienced people around me. We had squawk boxes so everyone in the room could hear your conversation. I also tried to have my volume down.
That was at age 21 or so. I’m now 57 and have nothing to show for it.
Talk about someone who reads and dreams and thinks about success but does nothing about it. Just sits there and dreams and thinks, gets caught up in overwhelm and gets bored and starts surfing social media.
